I'm back. What kept me busy?!? I've been nurturing a little human! (Gasp!) Yeah, BYOB (Bring Your Own BABY.) All about the precious one the last few years. My mind has turned all mushy, baby brain, is real! motherhood is sure like an endless marathon at the Almalfi Coast (open to your own interpretation ;)) . So yeah, there.

How do I nourish this tiny human? This was the initial question I had in mind. How do I make sure I'm not messing up with the eco-system of her stomach? How am I certain I'm not making irreversible consequences to her taste buds? How will I help her make healthy and intelligent food choices for the rest of her life? You know what they say. whatever you eat is an indication of your future health. (Health is wealth!)

When does healthy eating start? I've read that healthy eating habits start in the womb. BEFORE BIRTH. That's the tricky part! Food Imprinting is formed based on the mom's diet choice and food selection during pregnancy. What we like or dislike in terms of taste, is not accidental. With all that said, I personally made it my mission to prepare my daughter's food, and sure it wasn't a walk in the park, but I had to.

Thankfully, too, I was given this book to help me with my journey, "Whole + Natural: Baby Food" by Namee J. Sunico and Melanie P. Jimenez. They are young moms, who both enjoy cooking healthy and natural for their babies. Glad to be able to get much help as I can get, because seriously, where do you begin? On top of the things you have to worry about as a first time mom, this book is sure is a lot of help!

And what I like most about it, it's the very first Filipino baby cookbook and it uses local ingredients that are readily available in the market.
